We are an independent workshop specialising in the fixed and portable tank cleaning machines used in Crude Oil Washing (COW) systems. The full overhaul is carried out in our 200 m² workshop in Tuzla, tested on our own test bench and handed back with documentation.
A team that comes from this trade
Mekamarin is a Turkish marine engineering company specialising exclusively in marine tank cleaning equipment. We overhaul, repair, supply parts for and test the full range of fixed and portable machines. The company was founded by two brothers combining extensive onboard and shore-based engineering experience.
One founder spent over 11 years as a Chief Engineer on tanker vessels, followed by Technical Superintendent experience; the other has more than 25 years of expertise in machining, mechanical repair and workshop operations. This combination lets us understand both the operational challenges on board and the technical requirements of high-quality workshop repairs.

Receipt and inspection
When the machine reaches our workshop it is completely dismantled, measured and assessed, and the scope of work is shared in writing.
Workshop overhaul
Worn parts are renewed, parts not held in stock are manufactured on our own machine tools, and the machine is reassembled.
Testing and handover
It is run at working pressure on our test bench; rotation speed, spray pattern and tightness are verified, and the machine is handed over with its documentation.
Fixed and portable tank cleaning machines
We carry out complete overhauls on both types of machine used in ship tanks — whatever the make or model.
FixedFixed machines
Permanently mounted inside the tank and driven through a gearbox and discharge column. Turbine unit, housing, nozzle assembly, gearbox and driver gears are completely overhauled.
PortablePortable machines
Lowered through the tank opening in use. Gun units, gear sets, ball bearings and sealing elements are renewed and the machine is run on the test bench.

Nothing leaves untested
Every machine we overhaul is run at working pressure on our own test bench. Rotation speed, spray pattern and tightness are verified before it goes back on board.
